About Cresco

A team of professional artists, one repurposed church.

A recording and artist development studio in Bedminster, Bristol. This is who runs it, and why the room matters.

A Place To Become

Cresco comes from the Latin for “to grow”, and that idea runs through everything here.

Nestled inside St Dunstan’s House, a repurposed 19th century church in Bedminster, Cresco is a welcoming, inspiring space for artists of all ages and backgrounds to explore their sound, develop their identity and build confidence in their own voice.

Growth happens best in places that are full of life, which is why the studio is full of plants, natural textures and a relaxed, lived in atmosphere. More creative sanctuary than sterile studio. That said, no leaf has been left unturned on the acoustic treatment, and there has been no compromise on making Cresco sound a step above the rest.

We are rooted in underground culture and non commercial creativity, and we also embrace the professional routes: sync music, bespoke commissions, vintage recording and industry excelling projects. Whether you are starting out or refining your next release, Cresco meets you where you are.

A Church First, A Studio Second

St Dunstan’s House has stood on Bedminster Down Road since the 1800s. We kept the arched beams, the stained glass and the sense of occasion, then added acoustic treatment, a proper monitoring chain and more plants than strictly necessary.

It is comfortable enough to spend twelve hours in and inspiring enough to make them count. Have a look, then come and stand in it. Photographs only get you so far.
