Written In The Room It Is Recorded In

A scene that needs scoring. A game that needs a world. A brand that is tired of library tracks that sound like everyone else’s campaign.

This is composition to order, made in the same room our records are made in. Because everything is written and recorded in house, the rights are simple. You get the cues, the stems and the paperwork, and the licence says exactly what we agreed. No mystery samples. No surprise claims six months after launch.

And because the roster spans reggae rhythm sections, golden era hip hop, strings and electronic production, the brief can go almost anywhere. If it needs real players, we bring real players.

  • Composition and full production to brief
  • Stems, cue sheets and alternate lengths
  • Licensing agreed up front, in writing
  • Live players, not just plugins
  • Revisions built into every quote

From Brief To Delivery

Rough brief in, finished cues out. Nothing in between is a surprise.

  1. Send The Brief

References, running time, mood, deadline. Rough is fine. A voice note and two links is a brief.

  2. Hear A Sketch

An early direction before full production, so the expensive decisions happen while they are still cheap.

  3. Take Delivery

Final masters, stems, cue sheets and the licence, packaged the way your editor or dev team needs them.

What It Costs

Commissions are quoted per brief. The studio time underneath them is priced the same as everything else here, so you can see what you are paying for.

Studio Time

The room and the desk, by the hour. Add one of our engineers and the fee is the same again as the room.

Studio hire rates by session length
LengthRoom only Room + engineer Recommended
1 hour£35£70
4 hours£120£240
8 hours£200£400

The engineer fee matches the room hour for hour. Four hours is £120 for the room and £120 for the engineer, so £240 in total.

Commissions

No two briefs are the same, so every commission is quoted in writing before we write a note. What moves the number:

  • Length and number of cues
  • Live players or in the box
  • Licence term and territory
  • How tight the deadline is

Stems, cue sheets and alternate lengths come as standard. Every commission is quoted in full before we start, licence included, so the number you agree is the number you pay. Revisions are built into the quote.

Who Writes It

Briefs are written and played by the same people, so nothing gets lost between the two.

Questions, Answered

Who owns the music?

Whatever the licence says, and the licence is agreed before we write a note. Full buyout, exclusive sync or a defined term. You will never be guessing.

How fast can you turn a track around?

A single cue can move in days when a deadline demands it. A full score wants weeks. Tell us the real deadline and we will tell you honestly what fits inside it.

The Other Ways In

Most projects touch more than one of these. If you are not sure which you need, say what you are making and we will point you at the right one.

References, running time, mood, deadline. Rough is fine, and a voice note counts.
